For the Love of Art, Jessica Lasky author. I was honored to be invited by the editor of Inside Sacramento Magazine to be featured in their February 2024 edition. Jessica interviewed me in my studio about my art practice, particularly these ovoid shaped paintings on stiffened silk.
In creating these paintings in my Embrace series, I focused on using two different colors, often white and a hue but sometimes two colors such as yellow and green, causing them to interact and move while drying. The concept behind Embrace was divergent ideas resolving, coming together to form a new reality, something beautiful. Essentially, embracing one another.
